FlipFlopSUP — a fun idea becomes a reality!

Years ago, while out on a friends boat in Essex, MA I saw what I thought to be someone paddling on a giant flip-flop. I said to myself, "What a great, fun idea! I wish I had thought of that...". Well, as the paddler got closer I learned that my eyesight was terrible because the person was not paddling on a giant flip-flop but instead on your regular, run-of-the-mill paddleboard. Good news for me!

While getting my eyes tested the next day I kept thinking about that (non-existent) flip-flop paddleboard. I needed to make this idea a reality and I needed to start working on it immediately.

Diving headfirst into an industry I knew nothing about was not the easiest thing to do. I started from scratch in every way possible. But, throughout the first few years, I made numerous interesting and amazing connections that made all the difficult times unbelievably worth it—I love being a part of the paddleboard world!
